Despite killing Julien in self-defense, he was excommunicated and banished from New Orleans to maintain an non-aggression act between the guilds.
After this battle, they are transported to Antarctica, where Gambit discovers that there are bounty hunters after him. Remy and his teammates are then captured by the Nanny, but are saved by Beast. They defeat the Nanny, but Gambit decides to turn himself over to the bounty hunters, saying that it to is time that he owned up to his sins.

Of course, this does mean that a few select members of Marvel’s mighty mutant menagerie have played less well with others than most. Chief among these miscreants is one Remy Labeau, better known as Gambit.
KING OF THE THIEVES
Mystique was never around for her foster daughter’s decision towards a lover. So she infiltrated the school and joined Gambit’s squad in an attempt to separate Gambit and Rogue. Mystique even offered Remy the chance to sleep with her after transforming into Rogue. Gambit was later framed by Sebastian Shaw for the murder of Australian crime lord, Viceroy. Along with former Triad member Red Lotus, Rogue, and her X-Treme X-Men, Gambit was able to clear his name. An alien race tried to invade Earth lead by the inter-dimensional warlord Khan, and used Gambit as a power source to open a portal to allow their entire fleet to pass through to Earth.
He offered loyalty to her and requested her to convert him to a vampire as well. Bloodstorm then bit him on his neck and his transformation as a vampire then started. Gambit and Juggernaut get into a long fight, which results in Gambit being mortally wounded. As the Horseman Death, Gambit demonstrated the ability to convert inert materials into toxic substances (such as transforming breathable air into poisonous gases) and has the potential to ingest diseases and plagues. If the Horseman is psychically tempered with, it seems that Gambit can again transform into him causing his appearance to once again change. After defending the Limbo Embassy from an even more demonic variant of Madelyne that Orchis kidnapped from the multiverse, Gambit eventually left to rejoin the X-Men in the main fight against Orchis.

The super-criminal Juggernaut, looking for Rogue, challenged them outside the Fenris Resort and Casino.
He formed a different thieves guild and named them the X-Ternals, which included his new lover Lila Cheney , Jubilee, and Guido (Strong Guy). However, despite the long running animosity between them, Magneto summoned Gambit asking for his help. His team were to use Lila’s previously untested teleportation powers to travel across the galaxy and steal the M’Kraan Crystal. He was able to use his power simply by looking at an object that he wished to charge, including living objects. Gambit could also manipulate the potency of the energy release and could even exercise a measure of control over time. With access to his full power, Gambit is able to manipulate the potency of his bio-kinetic energy to burn, cause molecular discomfort, incinerate and create timed detonations.
KINETIC ENERGY CHARGE
Tatum’s iteration is a happy balance between satire and genuine adaption. Thanks to the Deadpool franchise’s comedic tone, Tatum’s Gambit is something of a comedy relief without becoming a punching bag. So, while his accent is exaggerated for laughs, Gambit is still taken pretty seriously.
Gambit’s questionable morality during the mission put Rogue off but they had bigger fish to fry when Power Broker’s forces implanted a mind-control chip in Rogue. Gambit attempted a rescue, which led to a fight between the power couple. When things looked dire for Gambit, he reminded Rogue of who she was and it helped her regain control.
This decision brought him into contact with a parasitic magical artifact, a mysterious female thief, and even into Mojoworld. Of particular note is Gambit’s romantic relationship with fellow X-Woman, Rogue. The two gambi bet have had a passionate and tumultuous love life together that has waxed and waned over the years.
Someone has managed to break into his house and a mysterious person leaves him a message to just turn on the TV. Gambit watches as the news covers someone stealing the New York Stock Exchange bell. This hits Gambit as odd since this was his dream target, but just never could. Remy manages to find the parts to save Fence by stealing them from Tony Stark.
As he recuperated, Remy seemingly developed the ability to foretell the future as he learned of an impending attack on the Institute by Bennet du Paris, AKA Exodus’ Brotherhood of Mutants. With the young telepathic mutant student Mindee of the Stepford Cuckoos acting as his eyes, Remy helped repel the assault. After recovering from his wounds, Remy encountered Storm who had been transformed into an amnesiac child. He helped her escape from the psionic entity known as the Shadow King, and the two became partners by stealing to survive. Later, when Professor Charles Xavier returned from traveling in outer space, Storm sponsored Remy to be part of the X-Men.
MEETING STORM
With a weakened Wolverine distracted by the image of his rival, Gambit attacked from behind and defeated him, much to Jubilee’s disappointment. As several people possessed by the Shadow King hunted this preteen Storm, Gambit intervened and helped her escape the malicious psychic entity and his forces. During this peculiar partnership, the two stole ill-gotten gains from criminals to give to those in need. As thanks for these selfless acts of heroism, Storm introduced Gambit to the X-Men and supported his membership in the team once she regained her memories. Whether working with the X-Men or going solo, Gambit has been dealt some bad hands throughout his life.
